Consider these things when deciding when you should downsize.

When is a good time for you to consider downsizing? The short answer is that it depends on your situation. However, don’t wait until it's a bit late to make that decision. It's always best to consider a downsize when you're able to physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially make that change.

You can start with semi-downsizing, which is a sort of interim. It can be necessary for an individual who has a home that is too large for them or too far away from family or friends. You may also be interested in aging in place, which means you want to remain in your home forever until you are no longer a part of our world. If this is the route you want to take, there are some changes you have to make to accommodate your changing needs. Don’t wait until after you’re not able to continue to maneuver in your home.

My main goal in sharing this information is to let you know that it’s never too early to have a conversation about what's right for you. What's your next step for where you should be living and how you should be living? It's much better to have a plan in place rather than having to work under urgent circumstances.
