Here are four ways you can determine your home’s value.

If you’re curious about how much your home could sell for, today we’ll be talking about four ways you can determine the value of your property:

1. Hire an appraiser: Though this costs money, you’ll have the expertise of a professional, certified appraiser who will calculate the actual value of your home. Typically, appraisers are hired by banks to support the sale price of a homebuyer who’s using a loan. However, an appraisal doesn’t always match the value that your home actually has in the current market. Still, it’ll give you a general idea.

2. Use online tools: You’ve probably heard of Zillow’s Zestimates, and while these online estimates can be interesting to look at, they have a huge margin of error. Computer programs simply look at your address to determine its worth, but it doesn’t consider your interior, exterior, neighborhood, location, or other key market factors.

"Agents understand the ins and outs of the market and can accurately estimate what your home may be worth in the current market"

3. Use my websiteYourMarketExpert.com: My free online service uses a variety of different programs to calculate your home’s value. However, there’s still a margin of error because there’s no human element involved.

4. Hire and consult a professional agent: This is the best recommendation because agents understand the ins and outs of the market and can accurately estimate what your home may be worth in the current market.

I’d be happy to give you a consultation and determine your home’s current value. If you have any questions or would like to talk about your property, feel free to reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
